Here are the details:
"What I Love About Twin Falls"
Each child can submit an entry one of two ways:
1. Draw/Color a picture
2. Write a short essay or story
The submissions should reflect the theme of "What I Love About Twin Falls".
This is an online contest, therefore, submissions must be received by e-mail. Scan in your child's artwork or writing and send it with the subject "What I Love" to TwinFallsId@gmail.com.
*All work must be done by the student/child. Please do not color or write for your child. If they cannot write please have them color or draw. If a parent wants to give a description in quotes at the bottom of the page that is acceptable.
*Writing submission MUST be original handwriting from the child. No typing or e-mails. We want to see the child's handwriting.
*One submission per child.
*Child does not have to live in Twin Falls but must live in the surrounding area ie; Kimberly, Hansen, Filer, Buhl, etc.
*All entries will be posted on the blog for viewers to see. Next to the submission will be the first name of the child and their age. Please include that in the e-mail.
*On your submission please do not put names or ages. However, please send names and ages in the e-mail. In your submission e-mail also include your preferred way to be contacted rather by phone or e-mail.
*All submissions must be received by 2:00 pm on August 7th, 2010.
*A winner will be chosen by a select panel of judges.
*A second winner will also be chosen by the public viewers by voting. The number of submissions will determine how this will work. If we have a large number of submission then the judges will narrow the pool down to a select number of "honorable mentions". Then the public will be able to vote from that pool.
*The submissions will be judged on creativity based on the theme. Use your imaginations and take the simple theme to the next level!
* You may write a title on your submission or if you would rather the title be typed next to the submission on the blog then just indicate that in the e-mail.
*All submission will be posted on the blog TFIdaho.blogspot.com by Tuesday August 10th, 2010.
*A winner will be announced on Thursday, August 12th, 2010 and a selection of Honorable Mentions will be announced.
*Public Voting on the "Honorable Mention" category will begin on Friday, August 13th and will continue for one week until Friday August 20th, 2010.
*The two winners will be awarded all the school supplies on the lists provided by their school.
*The two winners will be featured on the blog. We would like to post a picture and a short biography of each winner.
*All questions can be submitted to email@example.com and will be answered promptly.
We look forward to seeing what our special kids in this town have to show us! Ready....Go!
*note* School Supplies will be awarded as long as they are available in stores. No monetary school or classroom fees will be included in the winnings. We will ask for the winning child's color preferences if necessary for binders, folders, etc.

Hardluck Hounds is hosting a fun day at Thomsen's Park in Twin Falls, Idaho - July 10, 2010 from 1pm to 3 pm
This is just for you and your pet to have some fun and see just who has the cutest, smartest or all around best pet.
We have some great local businesses supporting this event. Some of them so far include Krengels Hardware, LT Hardwood Floors, All Point Technologies, The Sudzy Mutt, Mary's Grooming, Native Grooming, Plant Foods, and more folks are offering to donate every day.
We have invited the local shelters to come out with either pets or photos to help get some adoptions done this day. If you are looking for a pet some great ones can be found at the shelter. Most of the dogs we have received recently have been purebred, (at least they look like it) Hagrid - to the right is a cocker spaniel, Dexter is a German Shepherd and Max is a Yorkie. The mutts are equally worthy so please don't forget to keep checking the pound to see if your new pet has arrived.
Don't miss out on the amazing talent that we have right here in the Magic Valley! Grab a date, a friend, take the whole family, or fly solo...no matter how you go you will enjoy the show!
